Pálava circle
This route belongs to middle difficulty ones. We start from Mikulov castle along signed cyclo-route No. 5044 over the town, where we turn to the left on asphalted route between Turold Hill and Kočičí skála (Cat´s Rock). We approach on Stolová hora (Table Hill) with a wonderful view. In Bavory, near to the church, we follow the street in direction to community of Perná, we cross it, and on cyclo-route No. 5044 we arrive to the community of Dolní Věstonice. Further, we continue in a circle round Věstonice reservoir, leading via last distance of confluence of Jihlava and Svratka rivers, along piers of Novomlýnské basins.
We can see here rests of old trees over water level. A circle round Věstonice reservoir is 8 kms long. You have a feel that you find at sea shore, it is worth to see it. Further, we continue on the road up to Pavlov along signed cyclo-route No. 5043, leading a little to the hill top. We continue throughout the slope of Děvín, via Klentnice, and successively along cyclo-route No. 5044 we return back to our starting point, to Mikulov.
