Klatovská hůrka
Klatovska hurka is a hill with an altitude of 497 metres above sea level. In 1919, there was established a park. You can find here more than 20 sorts of wooden trees, some of them were imported even from abroad. You can admire oaks, linden trees, hornbeams, mountain-ashes, elms, ash-trees, beech-trees, and other trees. At the edge of the forest, there are growing pear-tree field and cherry-trees. From forest edge, you can even see Bohemian Forest with Lake Mountain. In 1887, there was constructed here, stone look-out-tower on Hůrka hill. After 2nd World War, a restaurant with glassed view lengthened floor was built. The building is in town´s ownership and, however, it is not open for public. Before look-out-tower´s construction, there was built here Gothic church, re-built later in Baroque style. Nevertheless, it was closed within period of rule of Emperor Joseph II. AsKlatovy dominanta, there is characteristic Black Tower, the building of late Gothic style, finished in 1558. Another interesting artefact: these are Klatovy carnations, planted in this area since 19th century. This route is determined for foot-passangers only. You find here seven stops altogether with information tables.
