Just Celtics had their communities in Říčany area. Some archaeological findings come from older Roman time period. So, Andrew from Roman Parentage, established Říčany Castle within 1269 -1270. Moreover, you can find here 4 summer oak trees, more than 300 years old. The trees are preserved as memorable trees, and are carefully looked after.
A pond was established here, and a swimming pool was terminated in 1937. However, the bathing here is allowed for your own danger only. New water basin, Rozpakov, was built here, serving, first of all, as a protection against inundations, caused by torrential rains. This reservoir is also used for fishing. You can find here carps and trouts.
In Říčany outsirts, there is to be watched long-years culticavated country. The forests have its changed sorts´ composition. Oak-forest with birch, hornbeam and linden-tree was growing in this area without man-interference. Alder groves and willow trees are growing along brooks. In locals forests, typical hunting animals and rodents are to be found.
