Jakab Palace - Košice

Not far from Košice city centre, nearby today´s park, a palace was constructed in the course of 19th century. The building was a seat of several institutions but also a subject of property disputes. Peter Jakab was its first owner, and so, the palace got his name from this reason.

Kaštiel (Chateau) in Markušovce

Jasov Monastery

To one of most important church buildings in Slovakia belongs, no doubt, a monastery of Premonstratensian Order Abbey in Jasov. In 1970, the monastery was declared as National Cultural Monument, and this is quite important place of interest in Slovakia.

Ochtinska aragonite cave

Among Slovak caves, there are several ice caves, anyway they are mostly stalactite caves. The stalactites are of various forms and colours. Nevertheless, aragonite caves are rarities, so, therefore you can find a few caves of this type in Europe only, one of them is to be found in Slovakia.

Slanec castle

Stolica Hill

Stolica is the highest peak of Stolica Hills and of all Slovak Ore Mountains. In north, there is bordered with Slanské Col (1234 m), in south with Harova Col (1362 m), Lehotské hole Mountain Range and Faltenová Col (1254 m). Powerful massif of Stolica is located outside main range in a fork of branches, passing from south, from central mountain range from Kyprov Hill (1391 m).

Zádielský canyon

The countryside of our eastern neighbours is decorated with many canyons. Anyway, only one of them could be the biggest, deepest and most powerful. Its name is Zadielsky Canyon, and you can find it in exotic region of Slovakian Karst in southeast Slovakia.
