On the way to Transylvania you will not miss the Romanian town of Arad. Most of the monuments date back to the 19th and early 20th centuries; Be sure to visit the Red Church, St. Antonius of Padua and Bulevardul Revolutiei, where you can find other major buildings. And if you are more than interested in good food, you are in a great place. Romanian cuisine is fabulous.
