The region of Vysočina is situated  along the border of Bohemia and Moravia. It is neighbouring with the Region of Pardubice, South Moravian Region, South Bohemian Region and Central Bohemian Region. It is one of three inland regions.

This route is long and quite difficult from physical point of view. Your excursion could be started from the town of Horní Cerekev. You drive around Zámecký Pond and continue via community of Horní Ves, joining yellow marked tourist trail, passing Janštejn, small ruin of Gothic castle, deserted since 15th century within Hussite wars. You continue ahead, passing Velký skalní vrch (Great Rocky Hill) and Javořice, highest point of Bohemia-Moravian Highlands. On your right part, you pass nature monument Míchovská Rock - isolated granite rock - and Velký Pařezitý Pond (nature reservation). You follow marked cycling route No. 5021, visiting Rostejn Gothic Castle (with historic interiors, unique Renaissance pictures and picture gallery). After castle sightseeing, you continue ahead, following marked cycling route No. 16, up to the community of Růžená. From here, you follow yellow marked tourist trail up to the community of Batelov and continue ahead, via Rohozná, passing Přední skála (Front Rock Hill), Hutsky Hill and Čeřínek Hill. Here, you can take refreshment in tourist cottage of the same name. Further, you continue across communities of Hojkov and Nový Rychnov, joining red marked tourist trail, leading you up to Křemešník Hill. Here you can visit look-out-tower, mountain cottage (with restaurant), and local St.Trinity shrine church. From Křemešník, you follow yellow marked tourist trail towards the community of Čejkov, and then, via Černov back to Horní Cerekev.
