Today we take you to a place surrounded by untouched nature where you can relax from the rushed everyday reality. We will set out to the picturesque Low Tatras, more precisely to the village of Magurka, which is part of the village Partizánská Ľupča.
Like the High Tatra West Tatra is also popular area. You can have some remarkable outdoor experience there. Both mountains seems to be one whole. However, unlike the High Tatra, West Tatra are lower. Its mountains are more covered of grass. Barance mountain (2 185 m) is a popular locality by tourists. This mountain is situated in the south of this mountain ridge.
Today we move from the High Tatras to Western Tatras where we visit Žiarska valley where popular Žiarska Cottage is located (1324 meters above the sea level). This position is a great starting point for any trek to the regions of Braníkov and Barance.
The Western Tatras is very popular and frequented mountain range. Treks here, the main ridge especially, are amazing and people who go there long remember it. Ostry Rohac is perhaps the most attractive and most well known peak in this area. Many tourists hike across it every year.
The West Tatras are very attractive mountain ridge for tourists. These mountains are especially known for trek difficulty. Yet any tour along their ridges, into their klippes or climbs up Rohace's exposed ridge are worth it. However, you may make here an easy tour as well particularly to Preduvratie klippe.
The Western Tatras are a magical mountain range that offers many outdoor activities to lovers of outdoor activities. Hiking and more and more popular skialpinist tours can only be done in certain areas of the mountain range. An interesting locality that can be visited in winter is the Holy Hill.
There is something about making winter treks. Harsh, icy beauty of nature in winter tempts many people to set out to nature. We can make some more difficult trips even in Slovakian mountains, concretely in the Low Tatras, Western Tatras, and High Tatras. Placlivy mountain in the Western Tatras, is a locality accessible to tourist even during the winter season.
During winter, the Low Tatras offer several opportunities for outdoor activities. Whether it is skiing in ski resorts, or hiking. In this article we will introduce the winter tour of the beautiful nature of the Dumbier section of the Low Tatras with the beginning at Certovice and the crossing of the main ridge of the mountain range to Dumbier - the highest peak of the Low Tatras.
In the fourth part of our series about the safety on the mountains, we focus on morphologically related to mountains, and therefore we will focus on the Western and low Tatra. Their bedrock consists mainly of alumina surface, but not only part of Roháče and the section of Ďumbier - Chopok.
Today we visit the third most highly located mountain cottage in Slovakia – Stone Cottage Below Chook. Many people who love our mountains know it just as Kamienka.
One never gets bored in the Low Tatras. From spring to fall, tourists that like short or long trips in beautiful Tatranian nature go there. In winter, there are myriads of skiers and snowboarders, that just love ski slopes in the Low Tatras. Today, we take you to a place you should visit regardless the season.
Those who love nature will sure agree with my following statement – the end of summer and beginning of autumn is the best period for tourism. Everything seems more beautiful and more quite because the tourist season is long gone and the winter season haven’t even began. Nature changed its clothes to more colorful one and you can see animals where you wouldn’t expect them – right on a tourist pathway.
The Low Tatras are beautiful and majestic mountain range in the country of Slovakia. Many tourists like this area. All-day long trips are especially popular here. A very popular tourist destination is a distinctive mountain that dominates the eastern edge of the Low Tatras. It is Krolova Hola, the legendary guardian and subject of many folk songs.
One of the most beautiful parts of Slovakia, is situated between the mountains Velká and Malá Fatra. From the north it bordered by a national cultural city of Slovaks – Martin and from the south by Turčianské Teplice, spa town. The area or region is called Turčianská kotlina (basin), in older sources known as Turčianská zahrádka (garden).
