Central Slovak mining towns flourished thanks to the mining of precious metals. It acquired considerable property, which was also reflected in their architecture. The period marked by the plague epidemic brought plague columns to their squares as symbols of thanks. Their construction was not spared at all, which makes them so monumental. After a visit in a small yet very interesting museum called the Underground below the Towers in Liptovsky Jan. The museum is focused on coins from their very beginnings deep below surface until they are actually made in the mint. We quickly moved from Janska Valley to see this.
