Hungary, Ostrihom - Beauty of the Danube
heading (paragraph): Towns
Join us for a video tour of the Hungarian Ostrich (Eszterg), which offers not only cross-border shopping, famous pastry shops and restaurants, but above all a number of remarkable cultural monuments. They are, for example, the Marie Valerie bridge, the castle hill with the dominant Ostrichom Basilica, which is the largest temple in the whole country, and several interesting historical buildings.

Do you know which monuments are to be found in the town of Esztergom?
You find there St Stephen Basilica, of course. But, irrespective of its exceptionality, the town can offer you another place of interest. You can easily see Slovakia, directly from Hungarian part!
When discovering the beauties of Slovakia, this time we will stop in the warmest, southernmost and certainly also the most tolerant city, which stretches southwest of the confluence of the Danube and the Hron River. You probably already know that in the following lines we will set out to explore the border town of Štúrovo.
Once one city on the Danube, now two separate cities in two different states. One on Slovak - Komárno and one in neighboring Hungary - Komárom. And the city of Komárom today we head for knowledge of His beauty and rich history.
Komárno and its surroundings are an ideal place to spend a pleasant weekend. The first spring days are ideal for exploring places. When the sun is shining already, but still not warm, comes the most appropriate period for a walk in history and culture of this border town.
Today we will take you to the district Dunajská Streda, more precisely to the village of Velky Meder in the southern part of the Rye Island. We will guide you through history, visit a few sights and of course do not miss perhaps the biggest attraction of the town - thermal water park.
