SK, Spis – The Most Attractive Region for a Summer Vacation

Spis, the new and richly illustrated guide is a guide to one of the most beautiful region in Slovakia. This attractive destination offers more space than just one-day or weekend hiking.

The author of this new book is a 27-year-old graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy, Juraj Kucharík. His aim was to create a comprehensive guide. It is meant to be an inspiration to those who prefer hiking in nature, as well as to those who enjoy walking around cultural and historical monuments. Spis region is undoubtedly "protruding" from other regions as well.

Summer Vacation Like in a Fairy Tale

Why Spis? National parks, heritage sites, a number of UNESCO-listed sites ... We can add to this all other natural beauties, castles and chateaux, Gothic churches, medieval wall paintings, unique sculptures, crowned masterpiece by Master Paul, impressive Renaissance architecture or still alive the folk and religious nature of the country. With such a list, Spis is such a quiant place, like from a fairy tale.

The book on Spis also includes notorious sights such as Dobsinska Ice Cave, Spis Castle or one of the most beautiful places in Slovakia - Levoca. You will find here also less known, but picturesque locations in the Levocske Hills or Spisska Magura.
