San Juan de Girón was founded by Francisco Mantilla in 1631. The historic center was declared a cultural landmark which helped it to be preserved. Therefore we can admire beautiful paved streets and houses with lime facade.

Cyprus: The Island of Two Worlds IV. – Salamína
This time, I leave Famagusta for Salamina which is about 10 kilometers away. Salamina is what remained of an ancient city. I can see the ancient columns and buildings right upon going through the main gate. The sea borders the ruins on the left. I pass by beautiful fountain decorated with statues up to the agora. On the opposite site, there is a pool and next to it a luxurious spa decorated with mosaics and frescoes.

It will take you mere three hours to get there from the Krabi airport.
