In the western part of the Nitra Uplands, there is the village of Velké Ripňany (Topolčany District) together with the local part of Behynec. This village of more than two thousand offers the classicist Church of St. Jan Nepomucký, Lourdes Cave or the architecturally interesting House of Mourning with the beautiful Linden Alley.
