Bratislava offers many beautiful green oases. There they can have fun, relax or jast walk around. Komensky University Botanical garden is such a place. There are over 5000 plant species from all around the world. In addition to that, there is a rosarium with 130 species of roses, various artistic rock, Japanese gardens, greenhouses and water bodies. Well, there is something for every visitor. In our photogallery, we present you a small taste what you can see in this kingdom of plants.

We invite you to a retro-walkin Bratislava, which brings about a new book on this topic. We will travel back in time to the years 1948 to 1989. The picture of the capital in the period of socialism will be known through the postcards issued at that time. They will remind you of what the city looked like and how the city lived in a relatively short time.
The capital of Slovakia received a new and interesting book about it which has recently reached the bookshelves. The perspective on Bratislava is from record breaking facts on the city.
We crossed the new Old Bridge (the last week's article) and reached Danube's right riverbank, the borrough of Petrzalka. After this beautiful bridge, two beautiful landmarks caught our attention. The first one was the water tower. The other a noise coming from around the riverbank.
We have already seen the Waterworks garden and its many attractions. We followed the Karloveske river-branch towards the botanical garden at Comenius University, Bratislava. It was a very first botanical garden in Slovakia.
There are many interesting parks, gardens, or other green areas around the historical center of Bratislava. People can rest there in the nature. However, the city center is not necessarily laid out in stone.
Bratislava - the capital of Slovakia. Its most famous landmarks - Bratislava castle, Slavin, St. Martin's church, the SNP bridge and its UFO, and many other cultural and historical sights are very well-know to Slovaks even though they often even have not seen them.
When a Slovak hear the word chamois s/he first thinks of an animal which lives in the mountains. The other thing is a TV tower above the Slovakian capital. We are going to visit this sight today.
The unique SNP bridge and its noticeable structure on top resembling a flying saucer is one of the most popular and most photographed landmarks in Bratislava. Today it naturally belongs to the city, however, this wasn’t always true.
Today we would like to invite you for a nice spring walk. We visit Rusovc, a borough of Bratislava. There is a mansion, archeological excavation site (Gerulata) and beautiful nature.
If you are one of those who love mountain biking, it is almost unnecessary to introduce you to a low about 100 kilometers long mountain ridge of the Male Karpaty. Mostly people of Bratislava and western Slovakia relax there, but also seek adrenaline to clear their heads and make them forget worries of everyday life.
Cyclists capital of Slovakia, and not just those, are happy from the recently opened bridge between urban parts of Děvínská Nová Ves and Austrian municipalities Schlosshof. The bridge is built on the site where in the times of Maria Theresa used to stand his predecessor. Our portal Infoglobe was also at the opening ceremony.

Presidential garden was the point of interest we saw last week. Today we see another great place in Bratislava - the city walls. They take you to the Middle Ages for free and also shelter you from the heat of summer.
Summer is the period of walks and relax. Pools, parks, or mountains are welcomed shelters from the heat. We went to Bratislava's green oases this time. Locals and tourists alike find there refuge among trees and flowers.
On a sunny day, we took a short walk in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. We chose to visit one of its landmarks, the memorial on Slavin.
We continue in our walks through green spots of Bratislava even today. We will visit only recently opened Waterworks Garden. The garden is located nearby the Danube River in Karlova Ves city borrough.
