SK, Bratislava – With App to Relax
Published: 5.5.2021
Lovers of walks and tourist enthusiasts can look forward to a completely new and at the same time unique mobile application that will take you to many unknown places in the Bratislava Forest Park using an interactive map.
The staff of the Mountain Internet Club carried out more than two years of mapping the most beautiful, most interesting and most hidden places to spend rest in the vicinity of Bratislava, more precisely in the territory of the Bratislava Forest Park.

The result of this effort was the KARPATICA RELAX mobile application, which contains an interactive map. You can view fireplaces, stopping places, playgrounds, sights, wells and places with refreshments, or accommodation. There is also information about parking lots, toilets and natural attractions.

A total of 440 localities with descriptions and photographs are divided into 4 areas.
Červený most - Železná studánka: the application will accompany you through the valley of the Vydrica stream from the Military Hospital via Červený most, Železná studánka, Sněženka to the U Slívy buffet.
Kačín - Malý Slavín: the application will take you from Lamač and Železná studánka through Kačín and Malinský vrch to Malý Slavín.
Koliba - Kamzík: you will set off from the final stop of trolleybuses in Koliba and Kramárů through Kamzík to the Tri duby saddle.
Rača - Biely kríž - Pekná cesta - Krasňany: from Rača and Krasňany you can get to the ridge path of the Little Carpathians in the section Tri triby saddle and then to Biely kríž.

Although the application is not navigation, it also offers in offline mode (uses the GPS of a mobile device) the ability to determine your location in the field and allows you to view the nearest locations, in the range of 200, 500 meters and kilometers. In the clear list of points of interest, you can read about the destination of your trip in advance and also view it with one click on the map.

The KARPATICA RELAX application is available for systems with the Android operating system as well as for iOS for a symbolic fee. The financial proceeds from the sale of the application will be used for other "mountain" publishing activities.

We wish you many nice walks in the Bratislava forest park.

If you are one of those who love mountain biking, it is almost unnecessary to introduce you to a low about 100 kilometers long mountain ridge of the Male Karpaty. Mostly people of Bratislava and western Slovakia relax there, but also seek adrenaline to clear their heads and make them forget worries of everyday life.
