SK, Bratislava – With App to Relax
Lovers of walks and tourist enthusiasts can look forward to a completely new and at the same time unique mobile application that will take you to many unknown places in the Bratislava Forest Park using an interactive map.
The staff of the Mountain Internet Club carried out more than two years of mapping the most beautiful, most interesting and most hidden places to spend rest in the vicinity of Bratislava, more precisely in the territory of the Bratislava Forest Park.
The result of this effort was the KARPATICA RELAX mobile application, which contains an interactive map. You can view fireplaces, stopping places, playgrounds, sights, wells and places with refreshments, or accommodation. There is also information about parking lots, toilets and natural attractions.
A total of 440 localities with descriptions and photographs are divided into 4 areas.
Červený most - Železná studánka: the application will accompany you through the valley of the Vydrica stream from the Military Hospital via Červený most, Železná studánka, Sněženka to the U Slívy buffet.
Kačín - Malý Slavín: the application will take you from Lamač and Železná studánka through Kačín and Malinský vrch to Malý Slavín.
Koliba - Kamzík: you will set off from the final stop of trolleybuses in Koliba and Kramárů through Kamzík to the Tri duby saddle.
Rača - Biely kríž - Pekná cesta - Krasňany: from Rača and Krasňany you can get to the ridge path of the Little Carpathians in the section Tri triby saddle and then to Biely kríž.
Although the application is not navigation, it also offers in offline mode (uses the GPS of a mobile device) the ability to determine your location in the field and allows you to view the nearest locations, in the range of 200, 500 meters and kilometers. In the clear list of points of interest, you can read about the destination of your trip in advance and also view it with one click on the map.
The KARPATICA RELAX application is available for systems with the Android operating system as well as for iOS for a symbolic fee. The financial proceeds from the sale of the application will be used for other "mountain" publishing activities.
We wish you many nice walks in the Bratislava forest park.

Autumn is an ideal time for trips, so we decided to visit a relatively new lookout tower located at the highest point of Děvínská Kobyla in the area of the former missile base. It is accessible from the Bratislava city districts of Děvínská Nová Ves, Děvín and Dúbravka.
Spring is in full blow, everything around starts to be green, and also people living in the capital are increasingly leaving their homes, rather run away from the office, or instead of very long wandering in the shopping centres, which often visited and so unnecessarily, seek refuge in awakening nature.
Bratislava - the capital of Slovakia. Its most famous landmarks - Bratislava castle, Slavin, St. Martin's church, the SNP bridge and its UFO, and many other cultural and historical sights are very well-know to Slovaks even though they often even have not seen them.
We have already seen the Waterworks garden and its many attractions. We followed the Karloveske river-branch towards the botanical garden at Comenius University, Bratislava. It was a very first botanical garden in Slovakia.
We crossed the new Old Bridge (the last week's article) and reached Danube's right riverbank, the borrough of Petrzalka. After this beautiful bridge, two beautiful landmarks caught our attention. The first one was the water tower. The other a noise coming from around the riverbank.
Today we would like to invite you for a nice spring walk. We visit Rusovc, a borough of Bratislava. There is a mansion, archeological excavation site (Gerulata) and beautiful nature.
The largest housing estate in Slovakia - Petržalka in Bratislava - hides many natural corners. One of them is the nature reserve Starý háj, which is located in the eastern part of Petržalka, not far from the Danube cycle path (Eurovelo 6).
If you are one of those who love mountain biking, it is almost unnecessary to introduce you to a low about 100 kilometers long mountain ridge of the Male Karpaty. Mostly people of Bratislava and western Slovakia relax there, but also seek adrenaline to clear their heads and make them forget worries of everyday life.
Are you sick of learning about historic and cultural landmarks? Or just wandering about without a goal in Bratislava’s nooks hiding places of unique atmosphere? Do you have enough of smog and you would go somewhere in nature instead? We have a perfect tip for you! Join us in tour of Horsky Park located almost in geographic center of Bratislava!
Only recently have Petržalské hájovny become important forestry places, thanks to which they have been partially restored, they have once again become known not only to locals and they provide us with a forgotten view of the past.
Summer is the period of walks and relax. Pools, parks, or mountains are welcomed shelters from the heat. We went to Bratislava's green oases this time. Locals and tourists alike find there refuge among trees and flowers.
On a sunny day, we took a short walk in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. We chose to visit one of its landmarks, the memorial on Slavin.
Last week we introduced the Petržalka gamekeeper's lodges, today we will go to perhaps the most popular lakes in Bratislava, where you can fish, take a walk and take a bath in the summer. But there are no limits to swimming, you can also use the lakes for hardening, which is very modern at this time.
We continue in our walks through green spots of Bratislava even today. We will visit only recently opened Waterworks Garden. The garden is located nearby the Danube River in Karlova Ves city borrough.
With its area of 2052.6 km², the Bratislava Region is the smallest of all regions of Slovakia. As for natural or historically valuable places, it certainly does not lag behind others.
