Punkva Caves got its name according to standing subterranean spaces of Punkva-river, between Macocha Abyss and Pustý (Punkva Žleb). The system of underground halls is placed in two levels (stages), situated in north direction from Brno, Moravian Karst, in an altitude of 355 metres above sea level.

Zbrašov Aragonite Caves are placed inside left slope of Bečva-river Valley, in Teplice nad Bečvou Spa, in an altitude of 250 metres above sea level. These caves of hydro-thermal origin are the only one in Czech Republic.

Berounka-river is not too interesting for watermen, it is calm flow which could even let asleep a Prince who would like to set free "The Sleeping Beauty". So, you cannot expect a lot of adrenalin experience. On the other hand, the river is very beautiful!

Well-known proverb that each Czech is a musician, could be transformed into another proverb: Each Czech must be beer-lover! This unflottered primacy of Czech nation was accustomed, and really hardly anybody could imagine a way of life, where a glass of this foamy liquid is missing.

Kralupy nad Vltavou: this town was, before 2nd World War, something else as central point of Czech industry, however, shortly after war, as ruins of prosperous town. On 22nd March 1945, at noon, sharp tone of siren disturbed local inhabitants from their spring meditation.

Today's wandering, following places of interest in Czech Republic, will be dedicated to museums and skansens, where the attractions are ready especially for boys and their fathers. These are mining industry, mining technics and its history. So, our first stop will be Mining Museum in Příbram.

District town of Sokolov is situated in the centre of Karlovy Vary Region, in an altitude of 401 metres above sea level. The town has rich hops-cultivation as well mining past, presence of rare ores, where even now the brown coal is excavating in quarries (in Sokolov Basin).

Javoříčko Caves consist of three-store system of tunnel corridors and big domes with precipices and chimneys, created by mens of erosive-rusty processes. The caves are situated in Olomouc Region, not far from the Town of Litovel.

Coming road from Prague gives to forsee that Žatec could be quite extraordinary town. Anyway, if somebody who visits Žatec does not take with any extraordinary impression, this town, not distant from German border, has one actual leading position: it is the greatest one of the whole Louny district,as far as the number of inhabitants concerns.

From mountains and lakes, we transfer in our next chapter of endless wandering, towards underground. But, we shall not be interested in holllows, excavated by people, galleries or Prague tube. So, our steps will be let this time to the caves.
