The main goal of our expedition to Scandinavia was the Sarek National Park in northern Sweden. Wild nature there contains mountains, plains, mountain river valleys, glaciers and flocks of reindeers. While we search information on Sarek before our departure we noticed a warning on a Swedish national parks website that pointed out harsh conditions and ask visitors to be very careful.

Hrubá Skála and its vicinity have everything one has sought in locality called Bohemian Paradise from time immemorial. It is a piece of beautiful land, forests, rocks and sights, which looks like they were taken from some fairy tales. A castle on Hrubá Skála is not the only attraction of land of sandstone rocks, a land located between the Region of Liberec, Královehradecký and Středočeský. Turnov is a central city of this area.

The first stop on our journey across Scandinavia was in the Skuleskogen National Park. We set out to a two-day trek during which there was pretty bad weather. We were soaked and after two hours of walk we hid for a night in a beautiful public cottage. After we woke up in the morning, there were no traces left of yesterday’s rain and there was a pleasant sun in the sky.
