It is evening. We are quite disappointed from teh Skydeck at Willis Tower. The vista was not as great as we expected it to be. Yet our mood imporved with another experience. It was much more intense and I recommend it to everyone going to Chicago.

Grand Canyon National Park is another American national park. And it is one of the oldest ones. It is sitauted in the state of Arizona and majority of its area conists of Grand Canyon created for millions of years by the Colorado River and tectonic plate activity. It is very deep and layers of old rocks are aparent on its shores. The landscape is influenced by erosions and other geological activities it is in the state of constant change.

Arizona is a situated in the US southwest. Mostly, its land area consists of desert. The name of the state is probably derived from Spanish árida zona = parched zone. There are conifer forests at higher altitudes looking over the desert in valleys. The most well-known nature attraction here is Grand Canyon. It is, however, not the only national park in Arizona. There are many beautiful places in nature here which are also reserves.

California is a country in the southwest coast in the US. Many foreign and domestic tourists are lured to this state. There is the wild Pacific Ocean coastline, interesting cities and towns and other amazing places created by nature. Mt. Whitney (4421 m) is the highest mountain of the Sierra Nevada moutain range stretching in the south of California. Mt Whitney is the highest mountain of continental United States. Some areas in California are national park or nature reserves.

Great drought, desert landscape, high temperatures - we are in Death Valley national park. It is best to being at a visitor center - there you can get the most important information, map, good advice, and buy the much needed water. There are several visitor centers in the park.

The Death Valley national park is named after the valley of the same name which is located in the very park. The name was given during the Golden Rush in the mid-19th century. A road went across this valley down which goldrushers went to reach fortune and fame. They, however, were thirsty, and hungry. They had to kill their oxes and roast them atop burning carriages to survive. For these horrible experiences the valley is named after the death itself.

Yosemite valley (situated in the area of the park of the same name) is encircled by grey granite rocks rising atop thick forest. El Capitan is the most well-known granite massif. This rock is a place where amazing climbers from all around the world come to. The Nose is the most famous climbing trail. Half Dome is the second most well-known summit. Its name comes after its shape.

Yosemite National park i sone of the parks in the territory of the Sierra Nevada mountain range (California) It is considered an important park yet i tis ot the oldest one. Also, i tis under UNSECO World Heritage protection, it was listed in 1984. Every year, many tourists go there, mostly in summer. Therefore, it is for the better to do many things in advance. Mostly mountain climbers from all around the world go there as well as people who simply love nature.
