Region of Banská Bystrica - Slovakia
Banska Bystrica Region is located in south part of Central Slovakia, and with its extent of 9445 square kilometres is greatest area of the Republic. On south, it borders with Hungary, on west with Nitra and Trenčín regions, on north with Žilina and Prešov regions, and, finally, on east with Košice region.

Kováčová Spa is situated below hills of Kremnica Highlands, in north-west direction from the town of Zvolen. Weakly mineralized spring at temperature of 48° C wells up here, containing sulphate, hydrocarbonic, calcium, magnesia and flouride. Nature water, cooled at the temperature of 39° C, is suitable for treatment of digestive apparatus, moving apparatus, nervous system, urological and gynecological disorders. In their leasure time, the visitors, could také advantage of various activities, such as tourist walks along well marked tourist trails, or visiting historical sightseeings nearby. Within summer months, perfect relax could be enjoyed in outer thermal swimming pool containing healing water.
