Croatia, Pag – An Island of Fun and Relax on the Beach

We visited the town of Novalja. It is the second largest city on the island and offers a beautiful promenade. After moving by ferry to the island, we are greeted by the morning light and grazing goats and sheep. We will be surprised by quality roads that are also suitable for cyclists. We stay and set out to discover the beaches. There are several of them on Pag. They are mostly pebble with a gradual entry into the sea, as is the case in Croatia, so ideal for children. One of the most popular is the beach Planjka. Its location at the end of the bay of Stara Novalja allows safe entry into the sea, the shallow bottom is formed by fine sand. The surface of the beach consists of gravel, small stones and pebbles. Other beaches include Šumuni, Staško, Sveti Duh or Ručica. Some of them were awarded the Blue Flag for their purity.
You can spend your evenings on this island in several ways. For example, walking at sunset and tasting Pag cheese. It is created thanks to sheep, of which there are more than forty thousand. They graze on the mountainous slopes and eat thyme, sage or rosemary. Thanks to this combination, a unique product is created, which has won a number of awards. You can also taste wine from local vineyards, the so-called žutice. You can have excellent lamb, olives, which are also grown here, and it will certainly not be all from the tastes of the island. The island is relatively quiet, with the exception of the already mentioned beach Zrce or Croatian Ibiza, which attracts beach clubs, bars and discos, so this place has gained great popularity among young visitors. You can have fun here from afternoon until morning.
The island will definitely impress you. So come and discover the gastronomic delicacies and beautiful beaches of Pag.
