Croatia - Zadar and the Most Beautiful Sunset in the World!

The city of Zadar is certainly best known for "the most beautiful sunset in the world" as described by a famous film director Alfred Hitchcock. The perfect place to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets is monument Greeting to the Sun, located on the Zadar promenade, close to the Sea Organ, another masterpiece by the Croatian architect Nikola Bašić. The Sea Organ is a musical instrument played by the sea, constantly playing unique music. In Zadar, you can also find the church of St. Donat from the 12th century as well as the attractive Five Wells Square located in the old town.
From Zadar, numerous islands are easy to reach either by ferry or by rented boat. Nearby is Dugi Otok, one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia, which is home to the natural phenomenon of Telašćica Nature Park and the sandy beach of Saharun. Plitvice Lakes National Park is about 2 hours drive by car, while it is also close to Paklenica National Park, Kornati National Park, and Krka National Park.
