Šala Festivities 2011, which were, also this year, connected with a market of traditionally handicraft arts, were organized in a spirit of cooperation of Visegrad Four Countries. Within scope of „V4-Stage“, the units from partner towns of V-4 countries presented their performances. Except of this, on Holy Trinity Square, presentation stands were dedicated to each country. The visitors could have a look at photos´ exhibition about existing cooperation, under name „V4- jointly experienced moments“.
The lovers of photos did not let to miss an exhibition „Object-glass Frantisek Kollár 2011“, in a park, close to the church of Šala. On the market, skilled craftsmen presented the production of their people´s products.

The community of Šala went, during its thousand years lasting evolution, through many changes. The locality became handicrafts' centre in Middle Age, thanks to its advantageous position in Danube plainland. This countryside had exclusively agricultural character.
The Trnava region is located in the western part of the Slovak Republic. The area is the second smallest, but it offers more than enough tourist attractions. Lovers of history can take a tour of Trnava, for those who like spa, we recommend a visit to Piešťany, Velký Meder or Galanta, for gourmets and lovers of specific architecture Skalice and for pilgrims is definitely a picturesque stop Šaštín-Stráže.
In the northern part of the Galanta district, on the left bank of the Váh River, lies the village of Šintava. Its immediate neighbour is the town of Sereď and the municipalities of Vinohrady nad Váh, Pusté sady, Pata, Šoporňa, Váhovce and Dolná Streda.
On the left bank of the Váh River, in the flat landscape of the Danube Lowlands, is the village of Šoporňa. Thanks to its convenient location between larger towns such as Sereď, Šaľa or Galanta, it is an ideal village for those who seek the peace and beauty of the countryside, but also like the hustle and bustle of the city.
Our trip in one of the oldest cities in Slovakia is getting to the end. Last time we paid our visit to the Calvary and Lurdska Cave. Then we went to Nitra’s riverbank called Wilson Riverbank where we concluded last section.
We woke up fresh and met with others in the hotel’s hall. We talked about the trip we had done yesterday when we saw sacral structures, and we planned the trip for the present day that would take us to the Nitra calvary.
South of Slovakia boast with beautiful nature and interesting sights. Today we traveled to bit different sight – Mochovce nuclear power plant located between the cities of Nitra and Levice.
Today we visit city called the mother of all Slovakian cities- Nitra. We decided to spend some number of days in this city to learn about it as much as possible. It is spread over seven hills, and has magnificent nature, sights, and interesting history.
A week ago we have encountered Nitra’s history and present. Today we go for a day-long trip the highlight of which is Nitransky castle.
Last week we took a stroll in pedestrian zone leading to Nitransky Castle. We stopped at many works of art that depicted fame from the times of Great Moravia. As for architectonic gems, we visited a synagogue, and today we continue in our journey.
We concluded our hike across Nitra at “historical” graffiti last week. It was interesting for us and it also showed us the direction we would choose. Not even a minute later we were on maintained Zupni Square and a yellow building as its landmark.
Last week we entered the castle complex together. We stopped on Pribina Square at Corgon’s statue many consider the symbol of the city. Who he was and how continued our trip around Nitra is about to be revealed on the following lines.
We entered the first courtyard if Nitra Castle while going across a stone bridge. The direction board led us to the road to its individual parts. We started our exploration on a path going to outlook territory where the Diocese Museum is located as well as a bishopric palace.
Upon conclusion to Nitra Castle tour we had a coffee and thus made impressions of beautiful trip last longer. When we finished drinking our drinks we followed the Royal Trail back to Nitra center, i.e. Lesser Town.
