While walking in Croatia we spent a day in Savudrija, a sea town situated in the nortwest of Istria. It is only 8 kilometers away from Umag. The main landmark in Savudrije built to commemorate the love of Austrian giant and local girl. Savudrija is searched by lovers of vacation at sea, people who love bicycling, trekking, jogging, and surfing. A peculiar thing about the port is the way how it protects fishing boats from storms and wind. Boats are lifted up and then lowered down before the fishing season begins.
