CZ: Orlicke Mountains – Julincino Valley and Hamernice Village – VIDEO
You can easily reach the place by following the yellow tourist trail from Rokytnice in the Orlicke Mountains. If you follow the blue tourist trail you can get there from Vamberk. The trail then crosses Ricky to Anensky Hill. to Blue, which continues through Říčky to the Anenské Hill. The deeply cut valley, about 4 km long, officially begins with a signpost at the end of the village of Ricky and ends at a bridge and a crossroads, where the blue trail crosses the yellow trail and road. Wild nature, deciduous forests, and so typical timbered cottages continue downstream across Hamernice village to the confluence with Zdobnice and to Slatina nad Zdobnici.
We certainly recommend you to make your trip longer in the opposite direction, up Anensky Hill. There you will join the path along the ridges of the Orlické Mountains. There is also a beautiful view from the Anna observation tower. You will be able to see well-preserved remains of the First Republic's fortifications, including the legendary Hanicka fortress.
You can go on a trip at any time of the year. In the spring you enjoy the blooming nature. The best weather is in the summer. It is great to ride the whole area on a bicycle. In the autumn variety of colors rule the nature. And in the winter cross-country skiing is a great activity allowing you to enjoy are with the cleanest air in the country.
If you go out for more days, stay in Rokytnice or in the village of Ricky. The Orlicke Mountains offer enough to spend great time there. It would be a missed oportunity to not to go thereand it would be a pity not to use it.
