Recently opened the Moravian Karst Nature House will guide you through the history of the formation of this unique natural creation. You will sunk deep into the Devonian Sea and also you will find out how limestone is formed. Limestone had been the main building block of massive mountains hiding beautiful dripstone caves. Or you will see Prehistoric people who lived around. Another thing that you do there is to learn to recognize bat species as well as other animals or plants. This any and many more things you can see either in person in theMoravian Karst Nature House or simply in our photogallery.

Near Bystřice nad Pernštejnem on the eastern edge of the Vysočina region, today we will visit the picturesque landscape around the Bobrůvka and Libochovka rivers. Ruins, ponds and majestic rocks await us.
Not far from Pernštejn Castle, along the Svratka River, lies the town of Doubravník. At first glance, you will be fascinated by the majestic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and there is plenty to discover in the area. Let's go to Doubravník together now.
Are you a woman and as a child you wanted to be a princess? Or a man who wanted to be a knight on a white horse? I personally had it all my childhood. I wanted to be a princess with a gold crown, in a beautiful pink dress. And I had a clear idea of the castle I lived in. He had several turrets and the shutters were red-white. The Czech Republic has many beautiful castles and chateaux that are open to the public. Whether in Bohemia or Moravia, the film footage has made Karlštejn everlastingly famous, the same goes for Pernětejn, Bouzov or Křivoklát. But we often forget small towns, townships, and villages where there are castles and chateaux as well. One of such is Lysice Chateau.
As was told in the first part, now you know why to go to Brno. You know where to start your exploration of the historical district and where to have lunch. What is next? We are going to spend some moments on Svoboda square. There is a mysterious astronomical clock. We cant avoit a visit to Spilberk castle, Villa Tugendhat (under UNESCO) and a functionalist borough around it. Of course, we are going to have a taste of the night life, great beer or wine, and we are going to see some glimpses of local students ’life. So let’s get started!
It has been a long time since our last visit to the second largest city in the Czech Republic – Brno. This historical “capital” of Moravia is located on the confluence of the Svratka and Svitava rivers. It has been an important center of culture, justice, and education.
We concluded our walk in Adamov at a restaurant. Then we set off to Josefovske Valley in the lower reaches of Krtinsky Stream about 3 kilometers away. There is a conservation area where one can learn on recent history of the territory
In our journeys in the region of South Moravia we stopped at Adamov, a town situated 12 kilometers from Brno. Surrounded by forests the town is located on the confluence of the Svitava and Krtinsky creek. It has a population of 4.5 thousand.
Upon seeing the marvels of architecture in Blansko – the wooden church, chateau, Jezek’s bridge – today our goal are not only some other sghts. We also talk about the social life in the city.
Once we visited Blansko chateau and St Martin church we set off to a wooden structure. We spotted it when we observed the town. This structure is a church which actually doesn’t fit in the city’s architecture.
Today we look again into the beautiful city in the heart of beautiful nature. Yes, we talk about Blansko, the entrance to the Moravian Karst. But it is not only that. It is a place of fascinating sights we take look at on the following lines.
The Moravian Karst is undoubtedly the most beautiful area in the Czech Republic. Blansko, a town offering many historical, cultural, nature, and other sights, is located right there. It is also an ideal destination for a trip for couple of days for its great life in culture and perfect sport opportunities.
Cerna Hora, a town of about 2000 (20 kilometers from Brno at the edge of Boskovicka Brazda) is situated in the Blansko district. Surrounded with beautiful forests, the town is famous for its brewery. We take a look at other places you shouldn’t miss as well.
Once we introduced you the new interactive exhibition in the Moravian Karst Nature House we move bit further. Today we talk about our starting locality which is called Rocky Mill. This one is unique for many reasons.
Only couple of days ago, a unique interactive exhibition has been opened in the heart of the Moravian Karst (at the meeting point of Suchy and Pusty Zleb) near Skalni Mill. The exhibition take you through the history of this place in a very innovative way.
