REGION OF HRADEC KRÁLOVÉ

The Landscape of Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise) is not to be neglected part of this region.

According to the title – Bohemian Paradise - you can conclude that it is something really extraordinary. Nevertheless, for the local citizen it is something standard, normal as anywhere place in the country.

A tourist can find here real paradise of rock formations, forests, ponds and other things considered for the beauty of nature. Bohemian Paradise is known  also thanks to its monuments – as they are, for instance, the ruins of Trosky-Castle, the castles of Kost, Pecka, Valdštejn, but also historical centres of towns of Turnov (this is a centre of Bohemian Paradise). You can admire in the town the historical buildings, church and also the castle of Hrubý Rohozec. Frankly speaking, there are plenty of  ruins and castles, so we are of the opinion, that the Bohemian Paradise is the right place for your holidays.

KRKONOŠE (GIANT MOUNTAINS)

The biggest mountains in Czech Republic are situated on North-Eastern part of the country along the frontier with Poland. You can find here the biggest Czech peak (point) named as Sněžka , 1602 m high. In the mountains there is prevailing cold weather, therefore the mountains become the ski-centre in winter. Many skiers, from the whole Europe, are arriving to spend  their holidays here. In the summer the mountains are offering beautiful nature, vast forests with sparkling brooklets and small rivers.

The most important centres of Krkonoše there are the towns of Špindlerův Mlýn, Harrachov, Pec pod Sněžkou, Trutnov and Vrchlabí. Especially from Pec pod Sněžkou you can do interesting excursions up to mountain ranges. Anyway, these excursions are requiring physical ability, so it means for many tourists that they prefer the rest in the nature. This does not mean that the touring is disappearing. On the contrary, more and more tourists are visiting every year these mountains, new repaired ways, making easier the entrance to the mountains, are increasing.
