Region of Olomouc - Czech republic

It is extending here the highest montain-range of Moravia Hrubý Jeseník, the highest point is Praděd (1492m).

You can find in this region Oderské vrchy (Oderské Hills), where the river of Oder is springing. From North to South the Morava river is passing the region. The deepest ravine of Czech Republic names Hranická Propast (-274,5 m). Very interesting natural areas are those of Litovelské Pomoraví, Natural Parks Sovinecko and Velký Košíř. Oderské vrchy and Nízký Jeseník are rich in dense forests and winding creeks.
You can find here many historical monuments - such as castles Šternberk, Nouzov, Helfštýn, Tovačov, Jánský Vrch, Velké Losiny, the Church of St. Maurice in Olomouc, the Cathedral of St.Wenceslaus in Olomouc, Klášterní Hradisko in Olomouc, or Monument to Victims of 2nd World War in Javoříčko. You can visit numerous stalactitic caverns - as for instance Javoříčko, Na Pomezí, Na Špičáku or Maldečské caverns.
As to spas: we have to mean the spas in Slatinice and Teplice nad Bečvou, where it is situated saline-cavern, very popular by the tourists in last years.
