Region of Liberec is situated in the North of Czech Republic. It is quite important area from the point of view of travel business and it is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.

Nový Bor
The community noted big development especially after 1702. A Kinský Parentage obtained this dominion at that time. Thanks to them, Nový Bor became a town and got several privileges, such as arranging of year´s markets and Mondays markets, held every week. Except of this, there was manufactured a glass in forest forges, and successively, glass industry obtained its big importance.
You find many historical monuments in town, such as late Baroque church of Blessed Virgin Mary, Neo-classical building of post-office of 1904 and original mansion granary (today, it serves as town´s office) These spaces served in past to several institutions – such as amateur scene, district court, police station, town´s saving´s bank or glass-production museum. At present, this building serves as a seat of town´s office.
In town´s outskirts, you find a lot of natural monuments. To those most interesting belongs Klíč(Key), Údolí samoty, (Solitude Valley), Skála smrti (Death Rock) and Havraní skály or (Raven Rocks). Further, we can visit Cikánskou Cave (Gypsy) or Samuel Caves, Lesní divadlo (Forest Theatre) and rests of Svojkovský Castle.
To the cultural monuments of Nový Bor and environs belong Skalní hrad (Rock Castle) with hermitage, Bezděz Castle, Lemberk Castle as well as Sychrov and Zákupy Castles, two castles in Frýdlant. You would not also miss a picturesque town of Jablonné v Podještědí.
