Královka look out tower

Stony look-out-tower Královka (originally Nekras) is probably most known point of Jizerské Mountains, situated in an altitude of 859 m above sea-level, on Maxovsky range in preserved nature area. Looking tower is placed on top since 1888. Janov-section of German Mountain Club constructed this 19 metres high beam construction. Some years later, the possession of Janov tourists was enlarged of small house nearby, here a small restaurant with lodging was created. Nowadays, this actual stony look out tower was built in 1907, the building took nearly five months. The tower is 23,5 m high and mountain chalet, placed in neighbourhood, replaced original lodging house in 1936.
From look-out-tower, there is marvellous view around, on main range of Jizerské Mountains, peaks of Lužické Mountains, Giant Mountains, far to Poland and Germany. The chalet offer the accommodation all year round.
At present, the chalet as well as look out tower, are open for public durin summer and winter saison - since 9,00 h till 22,00 h. You find it near the road connecting tourist resorts of Bedřichov and Hrabětice.
