The overal lenght of the trek is 21 kilometers and 1345 meters of elevation. We start at Strbske pleso. We join the red tourist trail running to Popradske pleso. The trail goes across Trigan crossroads. There we can either go along the red trail or turn to the green trail laying at lower altitude. We take the red trail because at some points beautiful views open up over Mengusovska valley and peaks around. We reach the first point of interest of our trek - Popradske pleso. There, at the crossroads, we turn to the left and join the blue tourist trail. Once we get bit higher the less starts to retreat. Instead bushes appear. Once we reach another crossroads we continue along the blue trail. The red trail to the right runs to Rysy (2503 m.). Satan peak majesticaly rises on our left side (2421 m). The trail goes across the valley and then ascends. There is a magnificent view over Mengusovska valley from the top. In the distance, behind Popradske pleso, there is Ostrva (1984 m). When we finish steep climbing an easy section of the trail continues. It goes by Satanova plesos and Male Hincovo pleso. Velke Hincovo pleso is actually another point of interest on our trek. It is the largest pleso in the High Tatras. We can take a break and refresh ourselves on its banks because then there is the final climb. Our final destination is already visible. We climb up the blue trail to reach Vysne Koprovske saddle at 2180 meters. There, we join the red tourist trail and turn right to Koprovsky peak. This trail goes uphill and continues along rocky, partially exposed, ridge. Then it en at the very summit .
To the Top of the Koprovsky Peak
At 2367 meters, Koprovsky peak offers beautiful views over the High Tatra ridges and valleys. Temnosmrecinska valley is also nicely visible. Blue waters of Vysne and Nizne Temnosmrecinske plesos glitter in the sun. There are fascinating views over the Polish Tatras. Velke Hincovo pleso is visible when looking eastwards. It is surrounded by the massive Mengusovske peaks. There are some of the Tatras' greatest summits in the distance – Rysy (2503 m), and Vysoka (2547 m). Worthy noticing are the views over the Hlinska valley, Hlinska vez dominating its ridge (2340 m), and Hruby peak (2428 m).
