The Kingdom of Thailand or simply Thailand is set on Farther India  peninsula and partly also on Malaysian Peninsula . Majority of its populace are Buddhists. Only in Thailand’s south there are mostly Muslims. It is one of the most famous tropical destinations in the world. Thanks to higher living standards and security it is a good destionation for families with children. Tourists are mostly lured in by its endless beaches, and white coral sand, colorful maritime life, Buddhist temples, mountain sceneries and exotic food.

The journey is great. It is an adventure which can continue in Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park.

The climate in the mountains in the north of Thailand is very different to the south of the country. Mountains usually rise as high as 1500 meters. Temperatures can easily drop below 10 degrees Celsius in winter. That's why strawberries are grown here, for instance. The mountain climate is great for high-quality arabica coffee as well. About 50 kilometers from Chiang Mai town, there is a coffee plantation I went to visit. It was there where I finally realized how much work is behind one simple cup of coffee.
