As to its area belongs to bigger regions. It is situated in  centre of Bohemia, fully surrounding Prague, the capital.

The town of Neratovice is not a target, rich on deep impressions. This locality, distant approx. 20 kilometres from Prague, was not famous in such way that their inhabitants could be proud on something special. We speak about Spolana, gigantic chemical factory, which became, town-dominanta. since the end of 2nd World War.

Mělník: who did not know the name of this town, popular at least according to the name, famous through its wine cultivation and confluence of two most important Bohemian's rivers, i.e. Labe and Vltava?

Slaný is not the only town which can be proud on "nickname" King's town. Anyway, the fact that you are arriving there you can read at each road leading to city centre, such as. "The King's town of Slaný welcomes you!"

Berounka-river is not too interesting for watermen, it is calm flow which could even let asleep a Prince who would like to set free "The Sleeping Beauty". So, you cannot expect a lot of adrenalin experience. On the other hand, the river is very beautiful!

Kralupy nad Vltavou: this town was, before 2nd World War, something else as central point of Czech industry, however, shortly after war, as ruins of prosperous town. On 22nd March 1945, at noon, sharp tone of siren disturbed local inhabitants from their spring meditation.

Sedlčany is a town with rich history, documented just from the end of 10th century. Even James Krčín, one of most famous Bohemian fishermen, let his traces there. After 1580, he administrated the town and founded well known Svět and Rožmberk Ponds in South Bohemia.

When famous Charles Bridge in Prague was constructed, fresh eggs were added to the mortar. The citizens of Velvary brought there cooked eggs, so that the eggs were not broken during transport. Since that time period, the persons from Velvary are known as hard-egg-men, the legend says. Hundreds oy years passed, but something from character of past persons remained till now.

Nymburk is a district town in Central Bohemia, and remains probably for ever in a shade of near Poděbrady Spa. The colonnade or healing springs are missing there but another places of interest which are to be admired, are available in sufficient number, such as, for instance, medioeval fortificatioms of Postřižiny Beer.

It would be a secret but everybody knew about. Something so gigantic, as it is a bunker, hidden inside forests, not far from the community of Milovice, the Russians did not succeded to kept it secret. On the other hand, it is a mystery even now, to which purpose this construction could serve.
