The route passes through forest sections around Velké Dářko Pond. This is the greatest pond of Bohemia-Moravian Highlands. It was established in 1480, on Sázava river. In past, it was mainly used for fish breeding. At present, it serves as important water supply place. Pond water level, as well as the banks, are copsed with reeds. These places are used with many sorts of birds as nesting seats. You can see here wild duck, black moor-hen and water-hens. From reeds, you can hear sedgewarblers, and from forests, you can listen to titmice, finches or wood-peckers. Numerous peat-bogs are established inside Dářko decrease. This territory makes the extention of 280 ha (in Bohemia-Moravian Highlands), so many sorts of amphibians arte spreaded here. You can find some frogs, mountain water-newts or toads. From reptiles, you can meet slow-worms, vipers or lizards.
In forests, you can find, as in unique place of Bohemia-Moravian Highlands, small pine („blatka“). On the path, there are 15 stops altogether, where you can get more detailed information about local places of interest. The route is not too difficult but is not suitable for cyclists.
