The town of Ivančice is a small town distant approx. 20 kms in southwestern direction of Brno. It is situated on a confluence of Jihlava, Oslava and Rokytná rivers in an altitude of 210 m of sea level. It is ranged to the oldest towns in Moravia.

Ivančice HallThe foundation of this town comes to a period of reign of Margrave Vladislav Henry who ruled in 1196-1222. First written notice comes from this time-period (1221). In 1228, the town was obtained King´s privileges of Wenceslas II. Afterthat, the town became an ownership of Pernstein Parentage, later Lipá Parentage.

Ivančice ViaductA monument of great historical value, we find here, it is a Roman Church of St.Peter and Paul. This church is to be found in Řeznovice (local quarter of Ivančice), its foundation is dated to 1120-1150. Further important monument: local Jewish cemetery. On a square, you find parish church of Blessed Virgin Mary, Baroque Virgin Mary Statue of 1726 and a fountain with statue of St.Florian.
