We begin with a tour in Domkyrkan, a Lutheran church which was destroyed by fire two times. The first cathedral was constructed between 1624–1627. The church was consecrated in 1633. Unfortunately, on the night of April 15 1721 a huge fire broke out. 211 buildings from the surrounding area were destroyed. Many people died as well. Consequently, there was a search for a suitable area which would serve cemetery. Eventually, the cemetery was constructed in the park adjacent to the cathedral. Over 20 thousand bodies were laid there.

The Canal d'Ille-et-Rance navigation channel links the Ille with the Rance. Rennes thus has river connection with Saint-Malo and the English Channel.

Published: 19.11.2016
Together we go to Götaplatsen square. The city is very quiet. We encounter almost no one. The rain stopped. However, wind still blowed unpleasantly strong. Slowly we approach an interesting statue. It is a revolver with twisted barrel. It was made by one of the foremost personas of modern Swedish art – the sculptor and painter Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. This artist lived in the US for a while. In the 1980, the shock of the shooting and consequent death of John Lennon inspired him to create this statue which he calls Non Violence. The original one is situated in front of the OSN HQ in New York. Another clones you can find in Berlin, or in the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Malmö, Lund, and Boras, or in Caen, France and Kirchberg, Luxemburg.

I take pictures of it instantly. The cat is hidden in the trees. Still, we manage to observe it for a while. We don't disturb it at the moment. Soon we arrive at the center of the park. We immediately show our catch. Nobody believes us. One ranger says that for 8 years he has worked there he hasn't seen one yet. Well, we show him our evidence.

This massive creature has almost no pigment, therefore it must remain in water for days. It washes itself with its tail. Their body makes them mistakenly slow. They can, however, run up to 30 km/h. If it manages to catch a human it can easily split a man into two halves.

Norway: The Land of Fjords I – VIDEO
Published: 11.10.2016
Sweden and Norway are Nordic countries situated on the Scandinavian peninsula which gives the country its cahracteristic features. The main natural attraction in the country are fjords cutting deep into the mainland. There are many such fjords in Norway. Areas without water are regions where many lakes are located. Or you can stumble upon some beautiful hilly area, plateau, deep forests or mountain ridge with a glacier. Nature is not the only thing worth of visiting. The two largest cities too – Oslo and bergen. The north of the country tourists usually avoid. If you seek to be on some remote place alone this would be the best choice.

Tanzania: Wild Animals at Hand II – Safari, Hurey!
Published: 8.10.2016
So we got some basic knowledge last time. Finally, can we set off. Upon entrance to the park we spotted a herd of elephants. There often peaked baby elephants among grown-ups. Our vehicle was riding slowly on dusty roads. Sometimes he braked slightly. Thus, we could take pictures easily. I would like to make a remark of one classy new feature – there are electrical plugs in the car. Therefore, we can charge our cameras, phones, etc. Usually, there are six people on a safari ride. You have to take turns at charging. Fortunately, there were only two of us – me and my daughter. It was much more pleasant.

Switzerland: Climb Up to Brunni and a Tour in Gruyéres

You can do the entire trail on foot. However, a cable car will save you considerable energy (but not money). Choosing a slower pace you will climb the entire mountain easily especially had you as good weather conditions as we did.
