Once again, we visited Turcianska Garden on our journeys in Slovakia. This time we chose to see Slovakia’s most beautiful valley – Gaderska Valley.
Southeast of Zlin is located a small town of Valasske Klouboky through which flows the river of Kloboucka (Brumlovka). The town is surrounded with the White Carpathians and the Vizovicke Hills. We have heard there is a number of interesting experiences in the town. Therefore, we decided to see it for ourselves.
Jeeps were great. First, we were just roaming on the road for half an hour and then headed to the desert. We released some air from the tires so the car wouldn’t jump so much. In a moments notice we were driving down the dunes like we were skiing and not sitting in the car. On dunes’ edges and then up and steeply down… Another dune even higher than the last one.
I think that I can call this day the most beautiful on Iceland. Beautiful weather only enhanced my experience on that day. It was beautiful from the very morning until the night. Sun shone, it was warm, cloudless sky, and great visibility.
After while, during our search for tulou 土楼 we went off the tourist-luring village with never ending music. Chinese tourists took pictures of each other wearing traditional and nontraditional clothes rented for horrible money. All of a sudden, everything went quiet around us. We were approaching local hills on a narrow road.
We leave Kashan only to move 200 km south to our last stop in Iran - Isfahan.
Once upon a time there was an Asian kingdom. A small state on the slopes of the Himalayas surrounded by China from the north and India from the south. Wild nature with many undiscovered animal and flora species, and couple of hundreds of thousands inhabitants living modestly according to ancient traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, in harmony with the surroundings and themselves.
Beautiful summer days are the best to visit the picturesque town of Rust at the bank of Neusiedler See (Fert lake in Hungarian).
After a short break yet again we went for a walk the Small Carpathian Mountains. This time we visited Hlbocianska valley near he town of Smolenice.
I am already looking to see the oasis. It is surrounded with a wall. Inside is the whole irrigation system – concrete channels. The place has high date palm. More than 120 palm species are in the Emirates, only 20 of them, however, have edible fruits. Their fruits are used often as animal fodder.
We leave the camp. We have to pack the tents, sleeping bags, and foam mats to be ready to carry on.
Our stay in Yunyongyao云永谣 commenced with a funeral, not particularly traditional way to begin one’s trip. Most of the locals took part in it. Some right in the procession, others just watched from afar. Soon, however, cracking and music ended. Only streets covered with red papers could tell the story.
In our today’s journey across Iran we go off Tehran’s limits to see another famous city in this country - Kashan.
A trip to Buchlov castle was so enchanting we decided to spend another weekend at Czech castles and chateaus. This time we decided Milotice set closer to us. The chateau is located at the edge of the town bearing the same name.
Today I am about to visit Al Ain oasis. Its name means “a spring”. After my journey to the second largest city of the Abu Dhabi emirate, I pass by couple of camel race tracks. These used to be some very popular races.
Dyrhólaey is a peninsula on the south of the country. It is also a natural reservation. There are many rocky cliffs of various shapes. The cliffs are favored by maritime birds such as puffin, duck, or murre. Beaches of black lava sand fill the area between the rocks.
Before I traveled to China, I had noticed weird mostly roundish buildings on various ad posters. I didn’t understand why would anyone build something like this.
Last week, we had this first glimpse of Iranian capital, Tehran, today we continue in this journey.
Today we travel to medieval times to Buchlov Castle set on the hill of the same name. This monumental royal castle is close to the town of Buchlovice, Uherske Hradiste district. The town is known also for the baroque chateau of Buchlovice with its vast park.

It is hard to record what was happening, there was so much. I am traveling again. This time I am about to enjoy the panorama in the luxurious seven star hotel Emirates Palace. Dubai has a fabulous hotel Burj al Arab and Abu Dhabi wants to have a hotel of fairy tales as well. Dubai is reaching high height, the miracle in Abu Dhabi is massively long.
Alarm at 7 o’clock. Leaving camp an hour later. Originally, we had to stay over night on the Vestman Islands. But it would have taken us much more time. We would use it much better – at the farm of Skálakot.
When we peaked out to the street in the morning, it was truly alive. The digger was demolishing houses, and people were engaged in their work. I sought to protect my breakfast against omnipresent dust. It was clear now what we would do on that day. We had to get as far as possible.
Last week, we learned some bits about Iran. Today we continue in tis journey by going to the capital - Tehran.
At the end of winter we set off to see the Natural Reservation of Rostun, in the Small Carpathian Mountain. We entered through the town of Plavecke Podhradi. All what we have seen is on the lines below.
