Carnevale di Venezia or The Venetian Carnivalattracts large numbers of tourists to Venice every single year. This year it takes place from January 26 to February 12, 2013. So you have still a chance to attend it. We now give you an opportunity to taste the atmosphere of the last year festival. You can get there via following photogallery.

There are up to twenty thousand ghost towns all over Italy, yes, it's an incredible number. It is due to frequent earthquakes and landslides, and thus unsatisfactory conditions for agriculture and life. Today we will visit the most famous depopulated cities and learn about their past and present.
They say to learn the secret of happy life, go to Trieste.
Milan is a city of religious history, as evidenced by the number of saints who have been here during their lives. But its greatest pride is undoubtedly the city center with the cathedral. Il Duomo di Milano can be found on all the pictures of the city, so when you visit Milan you shloud not miss this architectural gem. In the following lines we will go through not only her interior, but we will also visit the roof.
The city of fashion and design, finance, sports and nightlife. This is what attracts many to Milan. And once you get to this city even though your primary destination were landmarks, you can not miss out on this side, which makes it the richest city in the country.
When you visit Italy, you have to taste some of the local delicious cuisine. But as food art also is an integral part of the soul of this country. Italians live with music, and the visit to the Apennine Peninsula can‘t not go without a seeing musical performance. And what is more than the world-famous La Scala opera house?

Carnevale di Venezia, the Carnival in Venice, is the most famous Carnival in Europe. Every year it drags myriads of visitors from all-around the world.
Mountainous, green Gargano peninsula is located in Puglia, a south-Italian region. Except for holidaymakers, the peninsula is popular among European botanists for there are up to 85 species of orchid, and remains of Mediterranean forest known as Foresta Umbra.
Towns and cities in northern Italy ensure its world fame and attention of many art enthusiast. These towns were built during the 14th and 16th centuries by rich townsmen and fans of antic culture. The word renaissance is derived from Italian word rinascito (rebirth), i.e. renewed admiration of art, literature and values of antic Rome.
We visit Ancona today, the home of about 100 thousand. You may find it in central Italia on the Adriatic coast. It have become known among tourists quite recently. People mostly reach it by ferry when traveling from Croatia or Greece to see some of local attractions.

Tourists often consider Bologna to be the most attractive city in Italia. One of the reasons for that is local great food which reached international fame. But before we get to it, let's take a look around.

Sometimes, you get this feeling that you need to escape this big city noise and enjoy some peace. Hop on a mass public transit boat and set off for tranquil islands nearby.
If you happen to know Venice very well, be sure to visit the neighboring islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Murano, Burano and Torcello are the most popular and most well-known islands. Murano is the closest one, Burano is about an hour away, and Torcello is the furthest one yet the most important, from the historical point of view.
How we can get to Venice and how much many to take with we know already. Today, we make an introduction to city's most important sights and tell you about the omnipresent means of transport in the city - gondola. You can hire it anywhere for agreed upon price (by main sights as well as in narrow canals).
Have you never been in Venice, Italy, this is the right time to go there. The center is free of car noise and traffic chaos. The main means of transport are boats of different types, shapes, engines, and speeds. Venice is attractive in any season of the year. However, off season the tourist crowds are the smallest yet even during the season you can get by.
If you have grown tired of Czech New Year's Eve celebrations and you intend to try out something new (possibly some travelling included) I recommend you to visit Verona, Italy. The flight ticket price to Milano is very affordable. However, you need to buy in advance because a flight ticket on New Year's Eve or the New Year can get really costly.

Central St.Marcus Square with a Basilica, narrow streets, town's traffic which becomes never silent, merry Italians, but mainly Canale Grande with numerous excursion boats, ships, steamers and gondols, all these are the temptations for those who decided to visit such fairytale romantic seat
The most visited islands in the Gulf of Venice is a picturesque island Burano. Although it is not famous by such historic landmarks as Venice itself, where tourists are attracted especially colorful atmosphere quiet town and local products lace tradition.
The Venice lagoon is allegedly hiding 118 large and small islands. Some of them are mutually connected by bridges, and from ancient times were created interesting settlements, protected by deep water and treacherous swamps from enemies. Some islands lies a little sideways from the historical monuments in the heart of Venice, but lots of them it is nice to visit yet.
